Sean Young (born November 20, 1959, in Louisville, Kentucky) is an American actress best known for playing the replicant Rachael in Ridley Scott's Blade Runner (1982) opposite Harrison Ford - a role that became one of sci-fi cinema's defining performances. A former model and ballet-trained dancer, she also starred in Dune (1984), No Way Out (1987), and Wall Street (1987). In recent years she has worked steadily in independent film and remains a fixture on the fan-convention circuit.
In May 2026, Sean Young participated in the Comicpalooza festival in Houston, where she met with fans as a guest alongside her Blade Runner colleague Edward James Olmos.
In November 2025, the independent noir-comedy film The Dummy Detective (2025) was released on Amazon Prime Video, in which Young plays the lead role.
In July 2025, Young appeared at Comic Con in London, where she signed photographs from cult films and met with fans.
