Schmalhauzen in Prague: "Your Vil"
Ukrainian band Schmalhauzen brings their tour "Your Vil" to Prague. The concert takes place at the ROXY club.
Schmalgauzen is a Ukrainian theatre-music ensemble founded in July 2020 within Kyiv's Karpenko-Kary University of Theatre, Film and Television, originally as a student assignment in director Dmytro Bohomazov's workshop. The six-member group blends German cabaret, burlesque, post-punk and theatrical chanson, with each member playing a different instrument - from saxophone to double bass. Their repertoire spans four programmes: the concert shows «ТвійВіль» and «Втомлена Стріт», and two theatrical productions - «Silence to Silence» after Beckett and «Avgusto & Gustav» after Walser. Since 2023 they have played over 63 sold-out shows across Ukraine, including a packed Kyiv Palace of Ukraine in March 2025.
Schmalgauzen announced the Eurotour «Your Will» and the release of a new track «Calypso» (April 17).
The ensemble went on a tour «Tired Street» through 13 Ukrainian cities, from Vinnytsia to Chernivtsi.
Schmalgauzen performed a sold-out concert on March 15, 2025 at the Palace of Ukraine in Kyiv.
The production «Silence to Silence» based on Beckett had exclusive repeat performances on February 14 and 15 in the Teatroom hall of the Palace of Ukraine.
A major concert of the program «Tired Street» was announced for August 16, 2025 in the first pavilion of the Dovzhenko film studio in Kyiv.
