Saverio Cantoni

About

Saverio Cantoni (b. 1985, Italy) is a Berlin-based artist working across sound, haptics, and assistive technologies. Oral Deaf themselves, they explore what they call the "aesthetics of access" - building participatory performances and installations that blend sound, visuals, and bodily sensation. Their practice draws on Crip theory and queer theory to challenge normative ideas about sensory experience. They have shown work at SAVVY Contemporary Berlin, HAU Hebbel am Ufer, and Haus der Kulturen der Welt.
