Samara Sagynbaeva is a Kyrgyz documentary filmmaker and wife of investigative journalist Ali Toktakunov. After he exposed Kyrgyzstan's role as a transit hub circumventing Western sanctions on Russia, both faced threats and fled their country, now living under protection in the Czech Republic. Her film Nouzový signál (Emergency Signal) documents his story in diary form.
