Sally Margaret Field (born November 6, 1946) is an American actress whose career spans more than six decades, from 1960s television sitcoms to Oscar-winning films and Broadway. She won the Academy Award for Best Actress twice - for Norma Rae (1979) and Places in the Heart (1984) - and has also taken home three Emmy Awards and two Golden Globes. In 2026 she returned to a major lead role in the Netflix drama Remarkably Bright Creatures.
