Saïd Taghmaoui (born 19 July 1973 in Villepinte, France) is a French actor of Moroccan descent who broke through with his role as Saïd in Mathieu Kassovitz's acclaimed social thriller La Haine (1995) - a film that won Best Director at Cannes and earned Taghmaoui a César nomination for Most Promising Actor. He has since built a steady Hollywood career, appearing in Three Kings (1999), G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009), Wonder Woman (2017) and John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019).
Taghmaoui appeared in the action thriller Tin Soldier (2025) directed by Brad Furman alongside Jamie Foxx and Robert De Niro in the role of Atlas.
In October 2024, the remake of John Woo's The Killer premiered, in which Taghmaoui stars alongside Nathalie Emmanuel and Omar Sy.
In March 2024, a public dispute erupted on French social media between Taghmaoui and director Mathieu Kassovitz, which stems from disputes over the authorship of La Haine.
In December 2023, Taghmaoui appeared in the action comedy The Family Plan with Mark Wahlberg on Apple TV+.
