About

RockOpera Praha is the only Czech theatre dedicated exclusively to original rock operas, growing out of the cult band King Size when composer Milan Steigerwald and librettist Pavla Forest transformed it into a full theatrical company in 2006. Their semicircular arena in Prague's Holešovice district seats 777 and brings together rock stars such as Kamil Střihavka and Eva Urbanová alongside acrobats, fire performers and a live band on stage. The repertoire spans ancient Greek tragedy, Goethe, Tolstoy and Norse mythology - all adapted solely by Steigerwald and Forest.
