Ryunosuke Kamiki (神木隆之介, born 19 May 1993) is a Japanese actor whose career spans over thirty years, starting with a commercial at age two. As a child he voiced characters in Studio Ghibli films including Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle; as an adult he voiced the lead in Makoto Shinkai's Your Name (2016) and starred as the protagonist in Godzilla Minus One (2023), which became the highest-grossing Japanese-language Godzilla film ever and won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.
Kamiki will return as Koichi Shikishima in the sequel Godzilla Minus Zero, which premieres in Japan on November 3, 2026 and in North America on November 6, 2026.
On February 10, 2026, Kamiki announced through his agency's website his marriage to a partner who does not work in the entertainment industry.
From April 2026, Kamiki plays the lead role in the Fuji TV series Saba-kan, Uchu e Iku (Canned Mackerel Flies to Space), where he portrays a JAXA employee.
In February 2025, Kamiki won the award for best acting performance at the 122nd Television Drama Academy Awards for his role in the drama Umi ni Nemuru Diamond (TBS, fall 2024).
From October to December 2024, Kamiki played a dual role in the TBS Sunday drama Umi ni Nemuru Diamond (Diamond Sleeping in the Sea), where he portrayed characters from 1955 and 2018.
