Rhapsody of Fire is an Italian symphonic power metal band founded in Trieste in 1993 by guitarist Luca Turilli and keyboardist Alex Staropoli. The group built a global following by fusing orchestral arrangements, operatic choirs and high-speed metal riffs across a series of fantasy concept albums - their first five records sold over a million copies combined. A trademark dispute prompted the name change from Rhapsody to Rhapsody of Fire in 2006; today the band is led by Staropoli alongside vocalist Giacomo Voli. Their fourteenth studio album, Challenge the Wind, was released in May 2024 as the conclusion of the Nephilim's Empire Saga trilogy.
Rhapsody of Fire announced a North American tour in September 2025 titled "Challenge the Wind / Dawn of Victory" with bands Enforcer, Witherfall and Striker.
The band confirmed an extensive Latin American tour in December 2025 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the album Dawn of Victory.
The fourteenth studio album Challenge the Wind (AFM Records) was released, the third and final part of the Nephilim's Empire Saga.
Rhapsody of Fire will perform in North America as the opening band for DragonForce along with Ensiferum in November and December 2026.
The band performed at the Masters of Rock festival in Vizovice (Czech Republic) in July 2025.
