Reeko is a Spanish DJ and producer of electronic music, born Juan Rico in 1981 in Oviedo, Asturias. His debut release came in 2002 on the Swedish label Emergence, and since then he has built a reputation as one of the defining voices in dark European techno - running his own Mental Disorder imprint (founded 2003) and forming part of the Pole Group collective. He has released on Avian, Planet Rhythm, Semantica, Modularz and Delsin, and in recent years has pushed his sound into drum & bass and experimental electronica.
Reeko released the album Cryptophony on the Samurai Music label - a seven-track LP moving between deep techno, drum & bass and experimental electronics.
Reeko released the four-part ambient EP El Río De Las Almas on his own Mental Disorder label - an introspective work inspired by the mythology of Charon.
Reeko's LP Urmah was released on Samurai Music, a six-track album developing his work with 170 BPM rhythmics between techno and drum & bass.
Reeko released a trilogy of EPs for Samurai Music during 2024, confirming his shift away from pure techno towards broken beats and spatial arrangements.
Reeko and British producer Surgeon together released the EP Scoundrel on the Mental Disorder label.
