Priya Kansara is a British actress of Indian descent, born around 1995 in Enfield, north London. Before acting, she studied molecular biology at University College London and worked in healthcare communications, fitting in evening drama classes on the side. Her breakthrough came with the lead role of Ria Khan in Nida Manzoor's action-comedy Polite Society (2023), which earned her a British Independent Film Award nomination. In 2026 she reached a wider global audience voicing the onboard computer Mary in the blockbuster sci-fi Project Hail Mary alongside Ryan Gosling.

Kansara was cast in the lead role of scientist Lakshmi in the series Star City (Apple TV+), a spin-off of For All Mankind - the announcement was made on July 1, 2025.
In the BBC drama Dope Girls (2025) she played Lily Lee, a dancer in a nightclub in Soho in the 1920s - in a total of six episodes.
She participated in a charity reading of the play Pride and Prejudice as part of the Cinema for Gaza event, which raised funds for humanitarian aid to Palestinians.
