Praying Mantis is a British heavy metal band formed in London in 1977, closely associated with the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement. Their debut album Time Tells No Lies (1981) brought them wider recognition. Despite numerous lineup changes over the decades, the band has remained active and continues to tour.
