
Baroš Simpson Wyleżoł Trio
A New York drummer, Prague-based bassist, and Polish composer meet in a jazz trio blending melodic sophistication with international experience.
Piotr Wyleżoł (born 6 December 1976 in Knurów) is a Polish jazz pianist, composer and academic who has led the jazz piano class at the Kraków Academy of Music since 2007. He built his career alongside Polish jazz legends such as Janusz Muniak and Jarosław Śmietana, and later collaborated internationally with Gary Bartz, Urszula Dudziak, Billy Hart and Nigel Kennedy, among others. He has released more than ten albums as a leader; "Children's Episodes" (2009) appeared on the prestigious Spanish label Fresh Sound Records and earned a Fryderyk nomination, while "I Love Music" (2024) received three Fryderyk 2024 nominations.
