Phil Lord is an American filmmaker, screenwriter, and producer who works in close partnership with Christopher Miller. Together they directed 21 Jump Street, The Lego Movie, and produced Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which won them the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2019. Their films are known for genre subversion and dense visual comedy. In 2026 they returned to directing with the sci-fi epic Project Hail Mary, starring Ryan Gosling, which became one of the year's biggest box-office hits.
