🎤 Petr Macek

About

Petr Macek is a double bassist, bandleader and concert organiser from Most, with a professional career spanning more than fifty years. He studied at the Prague Conservatory and played with the North Bohemian Philharmonic Teplice, among other ensembles. In 1991 he founded the Festivalový orchestr Petra Macka - the largest private orchestra in the Ústí nad Labem Region - focusing on operetta, opera and popular evergreens. He has received the Most City Award, the Ústí Region Governor's Medal, and the Master Prix prize in 2024.
