Petr Kubát (born 1982, Písek) is a guitarist, journalist and photographer based in České Budějovice. He made his name as a member of the progressive hard-rock band In Memory, which released Did I Waste My Time (2003) and She's Plastic (2005); after the band split, he co-founded the blues-rock outfit Mustang Bluesride in 2012, which has since played hundreds of gigs across the Czech Republic. Outside music he works as a reporter for Czech Radio and photographs the South Bohemian landscape.
The band In Memory gathered in January 2026 in its original lineup in the rehearsal space and as of May 2026 continues to rehearse regularly.
Mustang Bluesride performed on March 14, 2026 at the České Budějovice Beseda together with Koloband and singer Viktor Dyk.
Mustang Bluesride have a concert planned at the Highway 61 blues club in České Budějovice on November 6, 2026.
