Sir Peter Ustinov (1921-2004) was a British actor, playwright, novelist and director of Russian-German heritage whose career spanned seven decades across film, theatre, television and literature. He won two Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor - for Spartacus (1960) and Topkapi (1964) - along with three Emmy Awards, a Grammy and a Golden Globe. A prolific playwright and author, he also served as UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador from 1969 until his death.
