Penélope Cruz is a Spanish actress and one of the most internationally recognised European film stars. She won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008) and has collaborated repeatedly with director Pedro Almodóvar. She appeared in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011) alongside Johnny Depp.
