Pendulum formed in Perth, Australia in 2002 and relocated to London, where they reshaped drum and bass by fusing it with rock and electronic music. Three platinum albums - Hold Your Colour, In Silico and the UK number-one Immersion - established them as one of the genre's biggest acts. After a lengthy hiatus, the full band returned and in August 2025 released Inertia, their first studio album in over 15 years.

Rob Swire collaborated with Armin van Buuren on the single 'Sound of You', which was released in June 2025.
In May 2025, the band announced the album Inertia and released the single 'Save the Cat'; the album includes collaborations with Bullet For My Valentine, Wargasm, AWOLNATION and others.
In support of the album Inertia, the band performed a large open-air concert at Milton Keynes National Bowl for over 60,000 spectators and embarked on a European tour.
In March 2026, Pendulum returned to Australian stages with a tour of Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide - for the first time in over two and a half years.
