About

Pajky Pajk is a Czech band led by pianist, arranger and conductor Martin Kumžák, formed around 2000 as the rhythm section of Moondance Orchestra. The group serves primarily as the house band of singer Dasha, blending funk, soul, jazz and pop with Kumžák's distinctive arrangements. Czech TV audiences know them from multiple seasons of Česko hledá SuperStar on Nova as well as shows like Tý Tý and Český slavík. The current quintet lineup features Martin Kumžák (piano), Martin Lehký (bass), Tomáš Brožek (drums), Pavel Plánka (percussion) and Peter Binder (guitar).

    Dasha & Pajky Pajk Quintet will perform on November 30, 2025 at a Christmas concert at Jupiter Club.

    The band is confirmed for a charity concert of the Regional Charity Polička on November 7, 2025 at the Church of St. James.

    In December 2024, the band performed Christmas concerts in Mladá Boleslav (Škoda Museum, 19.12.) and in Zlín (Congress Centre, 26.11.).

    The album Dashy Konečně (2017), on whose tour the band performed, received a gold record from Supraphonu.
