About

The Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) is a long-distance hiking trail running along the mountain ranges of the western United States, stretching approximately 4,265 km from the Mexican border through California and Oregon to the Canadian border in Washington. It passes through diverse landscapes including the Mojave Desert, the Sierra Nevada, and the Cascade Range. The trail gained wider public attention through Cheryl Strayed's 2012 memoir Wild.
