Otokar Březina (1868–1929) was a Czech poet and essayist, one of the foremost figures of Czech Symbolism and spiritual lyric poetry. His collections, including Tajemné dálky (Mysterious Distances) and Stavitelé chrámu (Builders of the Temple), are marked by mystical and philosophical themes. He maintained a close friendship with sculptor František Bílek, rooted in shared spiritual seeking.
