DanGar Six
Ortel and DanGar Six share the stage at an open-air summer venue in Křinec.
Ortel is a Czech rock band from Plzeň, founded in 2002 by frontman Tomáš Ortel (born Tomáš Hnídek). The group broke into mainstream attention in 2015, riding anti-immigration sentiment to second place in the Český slavík public poll - a result they repeated in 2016. Various media and the Czech Interior Ministry's 2015 extremism report have labelled the band right-wing extremist; the band rejects this and describes itself as patriotic.
The band released a new album Nevěř (2025) and its premiere took place at the cultural center in Kladno with the participation of singer Dalibor Janda.
Dalibor Janda publicly supported Tomáš Ortel at the Nevěř album premiere and compared his situation to his own experiences from the communist era.
Ortel continues to actively perform concerts throughout the Czech Republic and Slovakia, including open-air performances in summer 2025.
