
Isaiah Collier + jam session with Ondřej Štveráček Quartet
Chicago saxophonist Isaiah Collier presents Collier Plays Coltrane, a project marking John Coltrane's centennial. An open jam session with Ondřej Štveráček follows the main concert.
Ondřej Štveráček is a Czech tenor saxophonist and composer based in Prague, one of the most prominent figures in the Czech jazz scene. He studied at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory and was a finalist at the International Jazz Contest Hoeilaart in Belgium in 2003. His debut album What's Outside (2010) was nominated for the Anděl award, and The Form (2013) was named one of the three best jazz albums of the year by critics. He also plays in the Gustav Brom Radio Big Band and teaches jazz improvisation at the International Conservatory in Prague.

Stand-up tour The Coinflippers with Daniel Bulatkin, Mathisen, Zimring, and special guest Ondřej Štveráček hits Bum Bum Comedy in Ostrava.

A four-piece ensemble led by Per Mathisen and Utsi Zimring performs acoustic modern jazz with fusion elements. The band regularly tours Europe and now expands with saxophonist Ondřej Štveráček.
