Ondřej Štveráček (b. 1977) is a Czech tenor saxophonist and composer, widely regarded as one of the most distinctive voices on the Czech jazz scene. He studied at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in Prague, reached the finals of the International Jazz Contest Hoeilaart (Belgium) in 2003, and has been a core member of the Gustav Brom Radio Big Band since 2006. His post-bop playing draws on John Coltrane's legacy while developing a voice of his own - evident on his Anděl-nominated debut What's Outside (2010) and The Form (2013), which critics ranked among the three best Czech jazz albums of that year. He also teaches jazz improvisation at the International Conservatory in Prague.
