Ondřej Štefaňák is a Czech theatre director who studied drama direction at DAMU in Prague. He debuted with his own play Lonely Horny Only at A studio Rubín and in 2019 received the award of the ...next wave... festival for up-and-coming artists. He became the Theatre X10 main stage director in 2020 and was appointed its artistic director in the 2020/2021 season. He is known for adapting prose and literary texts for the stage.

A theatrical adaptation of an autobiographical novel about coming of age in a small Moravian town, where loneliness, family trauma, and the desire to escape collide. Director Ondřej Štefaňák and author Marek Torčík share a similar story and created an intimate exploration of identity and the fear of return.
