INFEST the Lichkov's Nest (IV)
The fourth edition of INFEST festival in a Lichkov barn features live music, improvisational theatre, cinema, rap battles, and other activities for all ages.
Obligatne is a Czech-Slovak jazz-pop trio from Brno, built around Slovak singer, composer and guitarist Kristína Mindová. What started as a solo bedroom project grew during the pandemic into a trio with bassist Štěpán Havel and drummer Jan Čuma. The band sings in Slovak and released two albums on Brno's Kabinet Records - debut Monológ spásy (2022) and Emočne ospalí spievajú ľahšie (2025) - blending delicate guitar harmonies with soul and jazz grooves. The second album is also the last in the trio format, as Kristína Mindová has since moved on as a solo artist.
Obligatne released their second album Emotionally Sleepy Sing Easier on Kabinet Records - simultaneously the last recording in the original three-member lineup, after which Kristína Mindová embarks on a solo career.
The production of the second album was handled by Slovak composer and producer Richard Grimm (Boh Vajec), who opened the band's path to more colorful arrangements and a greater role for vocal harmonies.
The single Princezná from the second album repeatedly appeared in Radio 1's rotation throughout 2025.
Obligatne released the single Šepotem with an elaborate music video directed by Jonáš Svoboda, which foreshadowed the second album.
