Nicole Mary Kidman (born 20 June 1967, Honolulu) is an Australian-American actress and producer whose career spans four decades and has earned her an Academy Award, a BAFTA, two Emmy Awards, six Golden Globes, and a Volpi Cup. She broke through with the thriller Dead Calm (1989) and reached global stardom with Moulin Rouge! (2001) and The Hours (2002), winning the Oscar for Best Actress for the latter. Through her production company Blossom Films she has also become one of Hollywood's most active producers.
