Neckbreakker are a five-piece death metal band from Silkeborg, Denmark, formed in 2020 under the Danish name Nakkeknaekker. Before releasing a single track, they built a reputation on the festival circuit - Hellfest, Bloodstock, Sweden Rock and more. In 2024 they signed to Nuclear Blast and released their debut album Within The Viscera, blending classic Scandinavian death metal with the crunching grooves of modern hardcore.
In February 2026, Neckbreakker appeared as guests on the single 'Greater Than God' by Danish band SPLIT, released on February 20, 2026.
In July 2025, the band performed as support for Slayer on their British headliner shows in Cardiff and London alongside Amon Amarth, Anthrax, Mastodon, and Hatebreed.
Neckbreakker performed at Download Festival 2025.
In April and May 2025, the band conducted their first European headliner tour in support of their debut album Within The Viscera, with support from fellow countrymen Galge.
The debut album Within The Viscera was released on December 6, 2024 on Nuclear Blast Records; the band presented it on December 14 at Copenhagen's Pumpehuset.
