The National Theatre in Prague is the Czech Republic's foremost state theatre, first opened in 1881 and rebuilt after a fire in 1883. It brings together four companies - Opera, Drama, Ballet and Laterna magika - performing across four venues including the historic main building, the Estates Theatre, the State Opera and the New Stage. The Czech National Ballet, founded in 1883, is the country's largest dance company, with dancers of 18 nationalities.
