MURPHY'S LAW (USA), CLOBBER (UK), LIQUID JESUS
Legendary New York hardcore pioneers Murphy's Law make their Ostrava debut with UK band Clobber and Brno's Liquid Jesus.
Murphy's Law is a hardcore punk band from Astoria, Queens, formed in 1982. Their sound blends New York hardcore with ska influences and a humor-driven lyrical approach that set them apart from the more politically serious NYHC scene. Frontman Jimmy Gestapo (James Drescher) is the sole original member and has led the band continuously. In 1987 they became the first NYHC band to play arena shows, opening for the Beastie Boys on the Licensed to Ill tour.
In May 2026, the band completed an Australian tour and their very first series of concerts in New Zealand.
In an interview from May 13, 2026, Jimmy Drescher stated that the band has recorded material for almost two albums, financed entirely from their own resources.
In autumn 2026, the band embarks on a European tour Bad Boys For Life Tour alongside The Bones and The Drowns.
In October 2025, the single 'Go, Jimmy, Go!' was released - the band's first new recording in 24 years.
The band contributed a cover version of the song 'Stay Clean' to the Motörhead tribute album Killed By Deaf, released on October 31, 2025.
