Mirai Shida (志田 未来, born May 10, 1993 in Ayase, Kanagawa) is a Japanese actress and voice actress represented by Ken-On. She started performing at age six in a children's theater troupe and made her television debut in 2000. Her breakthrough came with the drama The Queen's Classroom (2005) and, above all, the lead role in 14-Year-Old Mother (2006), which earned her the Best Newcomer prize at the TV Drama Academy Awards. She gained international recognition voicing Arrietty in Studio Ghibli's The Secret World of Arrietty (2010) and Kayo Horikoshi in Hayao Miyazaki's The Wind Rises (2013).
