About

Minisalon was an underground art project organized in 1984 by dissident and artist Joska Skalník. He sent small square boxes across Czechoslovakia, inviting artists to create freely - the result was a collection of 244 works by artists who were largely silenced at the time, including Adriena Šimotová, Stanislav Kolíbal and Mária Bartuszová. The project became a quiet act of resistance against the normalization regime.
