Miloslav Oswald

About

Miloslav Oswald (b. 1976) is a Slovak conductor who trained in opera singing at the Bratislava Conservatory and then in orchestral conducting at the Academy of Performing Arts (VŠMU), where he subsequently taught. He moved to the Czech Republic in 2002, spending over a decade at the Moravian Theatre Olomouc - from 2010 as head of its opera and operetta ensemble - before taking up the post of chief conductor and opera director at the Silesian Theatre Opava in 2024. His career tally exceeds 3,000 performances and concerts, spanning collaborations with the Slovak Philharmonic, the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Moravian Philharmonic Olomouc, and theatres across the Czech Republic and abroad.
