Mike Hodges is a British film director and screenwriter, best known for the crime thriller Get Carter (1971). In 1980 he directed the cult sci-fi spectacle Flash Gordon, based on the classic comic strip, featuring a score by Queen and a cast including Max von Sydow and Ornella Muti.
