Michelle Gurevich is a Toronto-born Canadian singer-songwriter of Russian-Jewish heritage, formerly known as Chinawoman. Her melancholic lo-fi pop and slowcore draws on her Russian upbringing and has earned her a devoted following across Eastern Europe. Before turning to music she spent a decade in the film industry; since 2007 she has released seven self-produced albums, the latest being It Was the Moment (2024).
Michelle Gurevich released her seventh album It Was the Moment on November 6, 2024, which she wrote and produced herself.
Gurevich is currently touring five countries and has scheduled seven concerts, including in London, Paris, Athens, and Barcelona.
