Scary Movie
A cult horror-comedy about serial killer Ghostface stalking a group of teenagers. The film fearlessly pushes boundaries and takes aim at political correctness.
Michael Tiddes (born October 30, 1975, in Ridgewood, New Jersey) is an American film director, producer, and screenwriter who works primarily in comedy and parody. He broke through with A Haunted House (2013), a found-footage spoof made for $2.5 million that grossed over $60 million, and went on to direct two Netflix comedies with Marlon Wayans. In June 2026 he released Scary Movie, the sixth installment in the franchise, which opened to a franchise-best $55 million domestically.
Scary Movie (2026) directed by Tiddese opened with 55 million dollars in the USA and 105.5 million dollars worldwide - the best opening in the franchise's history.
Scary Movie had its world premiere on June 3, 2026 at the Paramount Theatre in Los Angeles and was released in cinemas on June 5, 2026.
Filming of Scary Movie began on October 1, 2025 at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta and ended on November 24, 2025.
