Michael Mando (born July 13, 1981, in Quebec City) is a Canadian actor of West African heritage who grew up across four continents and speaks four languages. He earned wide recognition as Nacho Varga on AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2022), appearing across all six seasons, and co-created the cult video game villain Vaas Montenegro for Far Cry 3 (2012). In the MCU he plays Mac Gargan / Scorpion, first in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and returning in Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026).
Mando was cast in the live-action Gundam film for Netflix and Legendary Pictures, where he stars alongside Sydney Sweeney and Noah Centineo; filming began in Australia in April 2026.
In Spider-Man: Brand New Day (premiere July 31, 2026), Mando returns as the villain Scorpion (Mac Gargan) alongside Tom Holland.
Mando signed a contract with management agency Underground and was finishing filming the Netflix comedy 72 Hours with Kevin Hart.
Mando will play one of the lead roles in the series Criminal for Amazon Prime Video alongside Charlie Hunnam and Adria Arjona, based on the comic book of the same name.
Mando was fired from the series Dope Thief (Apple TV+) after an incident on set with a fellow actor; his role was taken over by Wagner Moura.
