Melissa Villaseñor (born 1987, Whittier, California) is an American stand-up comedian, actress, voice actress, and illustrator of Mexican descent. She made history as the first Latina cast member of Saturday Night Live, where she appeared for six seasons (2016-2022) and became known for sharp celebrity impressions including Dolly Parton and Owen Wilson. Beyond SNL, she has voiced characters in Toy Story 4 and Ralph Breaks the Internet, tours stand-up clubs and theaters internationally, and releases original music.
Villaseñor released her first stand-up special Welp...What Now? on YouTube, filmed live at the Bob Baker Marionette Theater in Los Angeles.
Villaseñor provided voice acting for characters in the animated films Dog Man and Gabby's Dollhouse: The Movie, which premiered in 2025.
In December 2024, Villaseñor performed at Helium Comedy Club and gave an interview to KATU television station in Portland.
Villaseñor appeared as a comedian in the television special Comedy Pole Show: A Holiday Extravaganza and as a writer in the series The Standups on Netflix.
Villaseñor provided voice acting in the animated series Mulligan on Netflix and continues to perform live stand-up shows throughout the USA.
