MC Gey, born Jakub Rafael, is a Czech rapper, illustrator, graphic designer and writer based in Brno, recording under the Ty Nikdy label. He started rapping in 1999 and built his reputation on vivid, darkly humorous lyrics packed with wordplay and hip-hop subculture references. He has won the Czech Anděl Award in the Rap category twice - for the collective album Akta X (2018) and for his self-produced solo record O tatínkovi, který usnul (2023), dedicated to his four sons.
MC Gey & Live Band was confirmed in the line-up of the Rock for People 2026 festival (June 10-14, Hradec Králové).
At Metronome Prague 2025 (June 19, Prague), MC Gey with a live band performed the entire album O tatínkovi, který usnul and also attracted an audience that does not usually follow domestic rap.
MC Gey received the Anděl Award for 2023 in the Rap category for the album O tatínkovi, který usnul - his second Anděl Award in a solo category.
