Mary Elizabeth Winstead (born November 28, 1984, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina) is an American actress and singer with a career spanning more than two decades. She became widely known as Ramona Flowers in Edgar Wright's cult film Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) and as Nikki Swango in season 3 of Fargo (FX, 2017), earning a Critics' Choice nomination. More recently she has played General Hera Syndulla in the Star Wars series Ahsoka (Disney+, 2023) and Anna Urbanova in the miniseries A Gentleman in Moscow (Paramount+/Showtime, 2024), opposite her husband Ewan McGregor.
Winstead participated in October 2025 in the premiere of the thriller The Hand That Rocks the Cradle (Hulu), where she plays the lead role of Caitlin Morales, and revealed that in the second season of Ahsoka her character will have more action scenes.
In November 2025, Winstead attended the BAFTA Scotland ceremony, where her husband Ewan McGregor received a special award.
In May 2026, the film Rich Flu directed by Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia was released on Apple TV+, in which Winstead plays a character named Laura Palmer.
In March 2024, the premiere of the miniseries A Gentleman in Moscow (Paramount+/Showtime) took place, in which Winstead plays alongside her husband Ewan McGregor the Soviet film star Anna Urbanova.
In August 2023, the series Ahsoka began broadcasting on Disney+, in which Winstead portrays General Hera Syndulla - a character beloved by fans of the Star Wars animated series.
