About

Marie-Ange Nguci is a Franco-Albanian pianist who left Albania at 13 to enter the Paris Conservatoire (CNSMDP) in Nicholas Angelich's class, completing her Master's degree at just 16. She went on to study conducting in Vienna and enrolled in a PhD programme at the City University of New York; she also holds diplomas in organ, cello and ondes Martenot. A regular presence at venues such as the Vienna Musikverein, Amsterdam Concertgebouw and Sydney Opera House, she was named Artist-in-Residence at Radio France for the 2025/26 season.

    In August 2024, she made her conducting debut at the La Roque d'Anthéron festival with the Sinfonia Varsovia orchestra.

    In the 2024/25 season, she made her debut with the Rotterdam Philharmonic (Stéphane Denève), the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic (Alan Gilbert), and the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal (Marie Jacquot).

    In March 2026, she performed with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France in Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 2 under the baton of Simone Young.
