Marián Labuda was a Slovak actor who worked across theatre, film and television. He became internationally known for his role as Otík Rakosník in Jiří Menzel's Vesničko má středisková (My Sweet Little Village, 1985), which won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. He is widely regarded as one of the defining figures of 20th-century Slovak acting.
