Manuel de Falla was a Spanish composer of the late 19th and early 20th century, and one of the most important figures of Spanish musical nationalism. His music draws on Andalusian folk traditions and flamenco. Among his best-known works are Nights in the Gardens of Spain for piano and orchestra, and the ballet The Three-Cornered Hat.
