GBO Boxing: New Era 2
GBO Boxing New Era 2 gala brings one of the biggest boxing matches in Czech history to Prague — a battle for the Czech Republic's boxing throne between Vasil Ducár and Alexandr Cverna.
Lukáš Konečný (born 19 July 1978 in Brno) is a Czech professional boxer widely regarded as the most successful Czech boxer in history. In 2012 he became the first Czech ever to hold a world title from one of the four major organisations, winning the WBO interim light-middleweight belt, and also claimed WBO European and EU titles. As an amateur he won two World Championship bronze medals (1997, 1999) and competed at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. After retiring from active competition he runs the boxing promotion Tohle je box and coaches the next generation of Czech fighters.
In March 2026, Konečný competed in Brno at the New Era 1 gala evening of GBO Boxing organization, where at age 47 he had another comeback fight against Alessandro Jandejski.
In April 2025, Konečný returned to the ring at the sold-out Prague Lucerna, where Patron Boxing and Tohle je box stand as co-promoters of the event, and he won, and after the fight did not rule out another start at age fifty.
In August 2024, Konečný organized through the Tohle je box organization a gala evening at the Usti summer cinema in cooperation with the Redface agency.
In September 2024, Konečný ran in regional elections in the Usti Region for the Lepší sever group.
The Tohle je box organization in 2023 began cooperation with the Patron Boxing promotional stable of Patrik Knopp.
