Linda Hamilton is an American actress born on September 26, 1956, in Salisbury, Maryland, who cemented her place in film history as Sarah Connor in James Cameron's Terminator franchise - above all in the 1991 sequel, where her physically and dramatically demanding performance established her as one of Hollywood's first true female action heroes. Beyond Terminator, she earned Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for her role as Catherine Chandler in Beauty and the Beast (1987-1990). In recent years she has returned to television in Resident Alien (2021-2025) and the final fifth season of Stranger Things (2025).
