About

Liberated Theatre (Osvobozené divadlo) was a Czech avant-garde theatre based in Prague during the 1920s and 1930s. It became famous for its satirical revues featuring the duo Jiří Voskovec and Jan Werich, with music composed by Jaroslav Ježek. Songs such as Život je jen náhoda and Klobouk ve křoví remain iconic works of Czech popular culture.
