Leni Riefenstahl (1902–2003) was a German film director, photographer, and actress, best known for her propaganda films made for the Nazi regime. Her film Triumph of the Will (1935), documenting the Nuremberg Rally, is widely regarded as a landmark of cinematic propaganda. After World War II she faced repeated denazification proceedings over her close ties to Hitler's regime.
