Larenz Tate (born September 8, 1975, in Chicago) is an American film and television actor with a career spanning four decades. He broke through as O-Dog in the cult drama Menace II Society (1993) and won wider recognition as poet Darius Lovehall in the romantic classic Love Jones (1997). TV audiences know him as Councilman Rashad Tate in the Power franchise. In 2026 he played Motown founder Berry Gordy in the blockbuster Michael biopic.
