Ladislav Štaidl is a Czech composer, lyricist and conductor who worked closely with Karel Gott for decades. He wrote music for many of Gott's hits and regularly conducted the orchestra at his performances. He is one of the key figures of Czech popular music from the second half of the 20th century.
