KLÍČ

About

KLÍČ is a Czech folk group founded in 1982, known for pioneering what Czech critics call 'Renaissance folk' - original songs built on medieval and Renaissance melodic themes, with touches of chanson, classical music and Romani rhythms. Composer and guitarist Jaroslav Marian writes most of the material, while singer Pavla Marianová's distinctive velvety alto is the group's signature sound. Over four decades the band has given more than a thousand concerts, released nine studio albums and earned awards including the Zlatá Porta (1992) and two Gold Records.
